  • ¼ cup mayonnaise creamy
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard zesty
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Swiss) for topping
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter for cooking

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
  2. Gently stir in the shredded cheese and chopped green onions. Form the mixture into 4-5 patties of your desired size.
Cooking
  1. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each patty for 3-4 minutes per side, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Notes

For better flavor, consider adding spices like cayenne pepper or lemon juice. Adjust patty size according to preference. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
