Preparation and Baking
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until it is about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a bowl, combine sugar and ground cinnamon until well mixed.
- Generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the rolled pastry.
- Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide.
- Take each strip and twist it to form a spiral shape, then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the twists with the beaten egg to ensure a lovely golden color while baking.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm for the best experience. Pair with coffee or tea. Dust with extra cinnamon sugar if desired. Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Reheat in oven at 350°F (175°C) if needed.
