Method
Marinate the Beef
- In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Cook the Beef
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef to the pan and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Prepare Broccoli
- In the same pan, add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and beef broth to the pan, cover, and allow to steam for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender.
Combine and Serve
- Return the beef to the pan, mix well, and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for another 2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
This dish is great served with a garnish of sesame seeds or sliced green onions. Extra sauce can be prepared if desired for a saucier meal. For a bit of heat, add red pepper flakes.
