Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds ground beef Lean ground beef is recommended.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pound cooked bacon, chopped Use crispy bacon.
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 package (12 oz) shredded Cheddar cheese Divided into two portions.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef, minced garlic, and onion powder over medium-high heat until the beef is browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess grease and transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  3. Stir in the chopped cooked bacon, and spread everything evenly in the dish.
Egg Mixture
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and three-quarters of the shredded cheese.
  2. Pour this mixture over the meat and bacon in the casserole dish.
Baking
  1. Top everything off with the remaining shredded cheese.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  3. Once done, let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

This casserole can be served straight from the baking dish for a casual meal. Pair it with a side salad or top with fresh avocado, sliced tomatoes, or low-carb condiments.
