Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, crack the six eggs and whisk until fully beaten.
- Add the cottage cheese to the eggs and stir until combined.
- Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly incorporated.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, mixing thoroughly.
- Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat, then pour it into the egg mixture, stirring well.
- Gently fold in the chopped green onions until distributed evenly.
Cooking
- Pour the entire mixture into the greased baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean.
Serving
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Slice into squares and serve hot, garnished with additional chopped green onions or fresh herbs.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Can be reheated in the microwave or enjoyed cold.
