  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup corn (frozen or canned)
  • 1 cup salsa
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to the beef, and stir to combine.
  3. Fold in the black beans, corn, and salsa, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serving the Bowl
  1. In serving bowls, layer cooked rice, the beef mixture, and top with your choice of toppings like cheese, sour cream, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and avocado.
