Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the bread into 'sticks'. Make three equal vertical cuts on each slice, aiming for about 1 inch wide.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Prepare your baking sheet by spraying it with cooking spray.
- Dip each stick of bread into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, and place them on the baking sheet. Repeat until all sticks are coated.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Flip each stick halfway through to ensure both sides turn a beautiful golden brown.
- If they need more time, return them to the oven for a few more minutes.
- Let the sticks cool on the baking sheet; you can enjoy them immediately or freeze them.
Freezing
- Once cooled completely, place the tray directly in the freezer for about 1.5 hours to prevent them from clumping together.
- After 1.5 hours, transfer the sticks into a freezer bag or container and store them back in the freezer.
Serving
- To reheat, microwave the sticks for about 1.5 minutes until they’re warmed through. Serve with your favorite syrup.
