Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 1 can 8 oz crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup crab meat (canned, fresh, or imitation) Fresh crab meat enhances the flavor.
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Make sure it's well softened for mixing.
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese You can experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • to taste Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
Assembly
  1. Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the crab mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
  2. Carefully roll up each crescent, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point, sealing the edges as you go.
Baking
  1. Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

These crescent delights can be served with a dipping sauce like cocktail sauce or a zesty remoulade for added flavor. They make a great accompaniment to drinks at parties or casual gatherings. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at low temperature.
