  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 bag tater tots Frozen tater tots work well
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onions until the beef is browned. Drain the excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef, shredded cheddar cheese, cream of mushroom soup, and milk. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased casserole dish.
  5. Layer the tater tots on top of the beef mixture, arranging them for an even coverage.
  6. Bake the casserole for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve hot and top with pickles, ketchup, and mustard if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze individual portions.
